John Osborne, a former admissions and marketing director for the University of La Verne College of Law, has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the university.

Recognition for years of service to the University of La Verne ranging from five to 51 was made to staff and faculty at the Annual Faculty and Staff Service Awards ceremony Wednesday.

Finishing the year with another trophy to add to its rapidly growing collection, the University of La Verne Debate Squad’s first team of freshman Shannon Beets and sophomore Scott Mac Kay converted the National Debate Championship into a landmark by becoming the highest-ranked parliamentary debate team in California and the first team in ULV history to qualify into the octa (eighth round) finals in a competition of this magnitude.

Cindy Knudson was named the new registrar in the University of La Verne’s College of Law on March 6.

To help graduating seniors better prepare themselves for life after college, the Career Development Center has developed a workshop called the Senior Survival Seminar.

Scott MacKay and the University of La Verne’s Debate team have experienced an exceptional year, so far. MacKay who is team captain couldn’t say enough about the support that the team receives from the University.
