The La Verne women’s water polo team dropped its Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference home opener in a buzzer-beating 11-10 thriller against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas Wednesday evening at the La Verne Aquatic Center in Las Flores Park.
The women’s water polo season came to a close after falling to No.1 seeded Pomona-Pitzer, 9-8, in the semifinals of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship on April 26 at Haldeman Pool.
