After a disappointing performance in last week’s Kingsmen Invitational leading into next week’s regional tournament in Texas, thoughts of a national berth have forged a permanent place in the University of La Verne golf team’s psyche.

With their minds fixed on earning a bid to this year’s national tournament, members of the University of La Verne golf team strayed from their rollercoaster ways to display a lukewarm performance at this season’s Kingsmen Invitational March 22-23 at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, Calif.

The University of La Verne Men's golf team traveled to Thousand Oaks on Monday to play 36 holes at the Sunset Hills Country Club for the 10th Annual Kingsmen Invitational.

Defeating Redlands was a must for the University of La Verne golf team to keep its goal of finishing in the top three in the conference. It did not.

Following a well played round by the University of La Verne golf team in the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen Invitational, the Leopards traveled to Annandale Country Club to face Occidental Monday but came up 10 strokes short in a 315-325 loss.
