The University of La Verne announced its new softball head coach, Danielle Kaminaka. The San Diego native has 17 years of collegiate coaching experience, the last 11 spent as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Sacramento State.

In a fitting finale to their season, the Leopards rallied to a dramatic 6-5 victory over the Whittier Poets on Senior Day Friday at Campus West. This marked the first game of a three-game series, with the subsequent doubleheader at Whittier on Saturday.
