On a spring break to Washington, one has to keep in mind one of the state’s greatest contributors to music.

With the freedom of summer just a few finals away, a number of University of La Verne students are making plans for their two and a half months of summer bliss.

Another summer is upon us, and concert promoters are throwing every package they can conjure into local venues, expecting us to fork over increasingly asinine percentages of our revenue for the privilege of sitting in the same room with some of our favorite artists.

Today is Halloween, and ye faithful are no doubt strolling around campus in some clever, gruesome, or sexy costume; bless you to those who chose sexy.

So, you're in an established band, and you really don't have any material for a new record. But the big-wigs that run your record label care less about hearing new music than they do about hearing "ka-ching, ka-ching," so they come up with a perfect solution.

Okay, I know it's March, and summer is still a midterm and a final away. But if you have any interest in taking in some live entertainment come June, it's time to get yourself in gear.
