Speaker says education benefits from changing policies, practices and beliefs
Rema Reynolds, associate professor of leadership and counseling at Eastern Michigan University, discussed disparities in the education system and explored ways to address these issues utilizing policies, practices and pedagogical choices March 17 via Webex during her lecture “Reimagining Schools for Justice.” The talk was held for over 70 community members.
LaFetra College of Education awarded grant to boost diversity
The University of La Verne LaFetra College of Education received a $400,000 grant from the Branch Alliance for Educator Diversity, which will go toward the LaFetra College of Education’s efforts in diversifying the teaching profession in the classroom and within the surrounding region.
New center promotes innovation and teaching
The LaFetra College of Education opened a Center for Teacher Leadership and Learning Innovation this fall.
