Variety proved to be the overall theme at the 2005 University of La Verne Directing Studio One Act Festival. Student and faculty directors, designers and actors participated in the plays, which ranged from physical comedy to intense drama, as well as everything in between.
The directing classes showcased their talents by hosting a five-day mini festival from March 6 through March 10 in both the Dailey and Cabaret theatres. These plays covered a variety of subjects from comedy to more serious matters.
The University of La Verne’s Theatre Arts Department is gearing up for its latest production, William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The play will feature a unique musical score and lighting design, arranged by some of the University’s most artistic minds.
