I just read an editorial which stated that ALL women should march at the national demonstration on Oct. 2. Agreed – with a caveat: all MEN should march, also.
In the midst of sexual assault scandal storms sweeping industries from Hollywood to politics and everything in between, many men have just now come to realize that this is the ugly reality women from all walks of life have always had to face. While naming names and outing prominent men help put a face on the issue and show how frequent and widespread it is, the truth is that women have known and denounced these types of behaviors all along and have just not been taken seriously.
First off, as an alumnus of the University of La Verne and a founding member of Phi Delta Theta, I am extremely disappointed in the fraternity for the actions committed following the preference dinner.
Women: intelligent, secure, and self-assured. In this decade, women are socially conditioned by men to shut-off the intelligence that defines them, due to the insecure, ego-obsessed and dominant male presence in this society.
