The University of La Verne’s Creative Writing department held a launch party for the Prism Review last week.

This fall season, the theater department has two plays lined up: “Noises Off” and “Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama’s Hung You in the Closet and I’m Feeling So Sad,” each offering a unique and entertaining experience. The department’s new set will also make a debut and is expected to “wow” audiences.

Michael Frederick, senior directing major, presented the world premiere of “This is All Fiction” last weekend at the Jane Dibbell Cabaret Theatre at the University of La Verne.

“Green Cabaret,” an original student piece at the University of La Verne, hits on a variety of serious environmental and social issues.

Invasion usually brings to mind thoughts of military forces, spies or aliens.

Movies opening this summer promise excitement, blockbuster special effects and new installments of many fan favorites like “Spiderman 3” and “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.”
