The first World Baseball Classic kicked off March 2 with the opening games of the tournament. The WBC has been formed as a result of the Olympics repealing baseball from its games and reactions from baseball fans eager to see a universal tournament of baseball.
Leopards mauled by rival Cougars
In a game that was close to being cancelled due to local fires, rushing was the name of the game, as Azusa Pacific University easily handed the Leopards their sixth straight loss behind 163 yards rushing and four touchdowns from tailback Ben Buys as well as defensive domination for the 42-0 shutout in front of 3,100 fans at Cougar Stadium, Saturday night.
