Fire department visits Ground Zero
After raising nearly $150,000 for a New York firefighters fund to benefit widows and children of the World Trade Center collapse, members of the La Verne Fire Department traveled Nov. 16-19 to Ground Zero to deliver the money.
Firefighters fill boots with $140k
In an effort to help the widows and orphans of firefighters who died trying to save victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, the La Verne Fire Department started a "Fill the Boot" fundraiser.
