Although the first round of heavy rains have more-or-less subsided for the start of the spring semester, some buildings on campus are feeling the effects of damage caused by previous flooding. Thanks to unfinished construction and repairs done on-the-cheap, even a day of minor rain exacerbates some of their ongoing problems.
I’ve always loved the rain. There’s just something about it – the soothing sound, the way it makes you want to stay in bed all day, even the gloomy weather and when it sprinkles on your face – it’s the little things like these that make me smile.
The University of La Verne maintenance workers were on their feet last week as rainstorms caused many rooms across campus to flood. Employees on campus are still dealing with the aftermath.
