Students awarded scholarships
The endowed scholarship funds for 1997-98 school year have been distributed to students by the office of Financial Aid. Students were able to apply for the scholarships during the regular registration process in the spring. Approximately 100 scholarships were awarded.
Career day offers job opportunities
Each year, the Career Development Center offers Career Day for students at the University of La Verne. This year it was held Tuesday in the Quad area of the campus.

About 150 faculty, students and parents held a “Lunada” last Friday at Davenport Dining Hall to commemorate the parents of Latino University of La Verne students for supporting them in their college career.
