California is in recovery after multiple wildfires raged across the state in recent weeks leaving nearly 90 people dead, hundreds missing, and thousands more homeless. 

Parts of Glendora and Azusa affected by the Colby Fire last month are now facing mandatory evacuations as the heavy rain expected this weekend poses the thread of mudslides.

If last winter was anything to go by, then we could be in for lots of rain this season, as well. All that water might not be so bad if it didn’t cause problems like mudslides, floods, roof collapses and other unpleasant occurrences.

As rain continues to soak the city, La Verne is scrambling to alleviate threats posed to residents by mudslides and flooding.
