At the end of an exhausting and tough weekend of baseball that consisted of four games, 38 innings, and five teams, the University of La Verne baseball team managed to win one game in the tournament, over Pacific University. Then on Monday, ULV defeated Linfield College.
Registering its second win against an East Coast opponent in as many meetings, the University of La Verne baseball team beat both William Patterson University, 4-3 on Wednesday, and the Montclair State Red Hawks, the 1998 Division III runners-up, 5-4, on March 9. The wins improved ULV's overall record to 12-3.
