Reinforcing the concept of women in leadership positions, developing communication skills, and shaping women into pro-active thinkers are just some of the goals the SPARK Women’s Leadership conference wants to achieve on campus this semester.

The University of La Verne’s One Book, One University program continued with the “Teaching, Living and Learning After 9/11” panel which featured President Devorah Lieberman and University Chaplain Zandra Wagoner.
A fact of university life is exposure to diseases – including viral and bacterial meningitis, a serious illness that college age students may be particularly susceptible to. Earlier this month an e-mail sent across campus brought this risk of the disease to the fore, when the community learned that a student here had viral meningitis.
