Kathy Duncan, professor of management and interim dean of the Castulo De La Rocha College of Health and Community Well-Being, gave her last lecture before her retirement at the end of the academic year.

About 150 La Verne community members attended the final lecture of Paul Alvarez, beloved professor of kinesiology, who is retiring this year after 38 years at the University. 

The beginning of the new semester brought an air of uncertainty and fear among students, as well as faculty, as they learned many classes had been canceled, while others were turned to directed studies, which appear in the class schedule without a designated meeting time or classroom.

The University of La Verne made a switch in online learning platforms from Blackboard to D2L Brightspace in July. Students and faculty had different reactions to the adjustment of the new learning management system implemented.

The University of La Verne has ceased all new enrollment for the master of science physician assistant practice program in anticipation of a Jan. 1, 2025, program end.

Megan Granquist, director of the athletic training program and professor of kinesiology, presented “Interfaith and Health Care” on Tuesday in the Quay Davis Board Room to roughly 30 people.
