Bachelor degrees are becoming so common that they are more-or-less equivalent to what a high school diploma used to be. Furthermore, bachelor’s that were once an end point have now become just another step toward the final result.

In this tough economy many Americans are struggling to keep up with their finances and are scrambling to find any type of job they can get their hands on.

First impressions, interview suits, entry-level salaries. Finding one’s niche after college is challenging enough, and the current economic situation is leaving seniors with added stress.

The University of La Verne’s Career Fair 2007 “Launch Your Career,” was held Tuesday in Sneaky Park and included 33 employers from a variety of professions, who were ready to answer questions.

“I used to be indecisive. Now I’m not so sure,” reads the embroidery in the small wooden frame that sits on top of the bookshelf.

Neither rain nor hail was able to dampen this year’s Career Fair, which took place last week in the Franz Athletic Court at the University of La Verne. Although there was no sunny background for the fair, students and faculty members were pleased with the set-up in the newly renovated gym.
