Club spreads environment awareness

The La Verne Ocean Movement Club is a student led organization on campus that is devoted to cleaning up the local community. The club’s purpose is to emphasize the effects that individual activities have on our environment.

Rupel is remembered for generosity

Former University of La Verne student, employee and Board of Trustees member Bev Rupel died Nov. 21 at the age of 78 from pulmonary fibrosis, a lung disease.

Church shares Peace and Carrots

A plot that used to only have rotting playground equipment now provides thousands of pounds of fresh produce annually through the La Verne Church of the Brethren’s Peace and Carrots community garden project.
