A peace pole was planted in the University Mall Wednesday to mark the commencement of a three-day Engendering Diversity and Community Conference.

International Student Services, along with various organizations, held its annual Multicultural Fair from April 25-27, entitled "Many Voices, One World."

Freshmen Maria Desantis, Vickie Creekmur and Katie Aimone help each other put on black arm bands, handed out at the Prayer Service for Peace last Friday.

Planted on the University Mall located directly across from Founders Hall, the new Peace Pole, which symbolizes peace around the world, was dedicated to the University of La Verne on March 26.

Celebrating the diversity of the University of La Verne, the International Student Organization (ISO), International Services and Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum held International Celebration Week throughout this week.

To build awareness of peacemaking is the purpose of the Peace Fair sponsored by Campus Ministry and the Peace Studies program.
