So many things to do, to see, to try, but so little time. Students are probably wondering what is there to do, at such a small school and community. Although the University of La Verne is not surrounded by franchises, it is fortunate to have small, Mom and Pop businesses and restaurants that have a sociable ambiance.
Ever find that there is not enough money in the bank account to buy food for lunch or dinner? There are many different choices of food for students that are right off campus, within walking distance, and with reasonable prices.
Eric Bishop, a University of La Verne alumnus, who also held several positions at La Verne – including associate dean of academic advising, journalism professor and Campus Times adviser – was recently appointed president of Ohlone Community College in Fremont, California. He starts July 6.
