The record is now 21-16 overall for the University of La Verne softball team as it won the first game of last Saturday’s doubleheader at Redlands against the Bulldogs.
In an effort to give the fans of the University of La Verne's softball team a final look at the Leopards playing at home, the team beat the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas in both games last Friday, 3-2, 12-2, giving them an overall record of 20-15.
After losing both games in a double header last Friday to Cal Lutheran, the University of La Verne’s softball team rallied and swept Occidental 7-0 and 11-3 Saturday.
Heading into Saturday’s games with an injured player, the University of La Verne softball team proved victorious, winning both games against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, 9-1 and 6-5.
Playing against the University of Redlands last Friday, the University of La Verne softball team brought its record to 10-5 after splitting the doubleheader against the Bulldogs, 3-2 and 7-2.
Grasping for two consecutive victories this past weekend, the University of La Verne women’s softball team defeated Occidental and Claremont, making their record 8-2, losing only to Cal Lutheran thus far.
