The softball team made its first NCAA Championship appearance in seven years on Saturday. The team traveled to Tyler, Texas for the Regional tournament hosted by Texas-Tyler at Suddenlink Field.
The University of La Verne baseball team came out on top against the No. 1 seeded Texas-Tyler Patriots Wednesday, winning its first game of the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament, 2-0.

The La Verne softball team fell short in its third straight NCAA Regionals appearance on Friday after being shutout, 1-0, in the first game by Louisiana College and losing in eight innings to Texas-Tyler, 11-8, in the second game.
Softball ended its season Saturday with a 4-2 loss to the University of Texas at Tyler in the NCAA Division III West Regionals in Tyler, Texas, leaving the Leopards with an overall season record of 28-19.
