Tuition to rise 4.9 percent

Associated Students of the University of La Verne Senator Cameron Mendez stood, microphone in hand, asking students to approach an ASULV information booth Feb. 5 urging them to learn more about the 4.9 percent increase in tuition for the 2015-2016 school year.

University of La Verne administrators announced that traditional undergraduate tuition will increase another 4.9 percent for the 2014-2015 academic year.

New students, new buildings, new programs, new rules; with all these new things going on, administration is apparently too busy to get the students’ opinions first before implementing new policies.

Tuition increases cover new programs

While the University of La Verne had an impressive increase in admitted students, that did not mean tuition was decreased. Instead it was increased 6.5 percent to $33,350 this year.

We pay, so give us a say

Fall semester has reached its end. A majority of students have already registered for next semester and have begun planning their next year of classes at this University.
