With the freedom of summer just a few finals away, a number of University of La Verne students are making plans for their two and a half months of summer bliss.

Another summer is upon us, and concert promoters are throwing every package they can conjure into local venues, expecting us to fork over increasingly asinine percentages of our revenue for the privilege of sitting in the same room with some of our favorite artists.

Okay, I know it's March, and summer is still a midterm and a final away. But if you have any interest in taking in some live entertainment come June, it's time to get yourself in gear.

Summer is a time for relaxing and getting the opportunity to do the things that might have impeded one's schedule during the school year. Summer is a time to sleep in, watch television, go to the beach and attend concerts.
