Blood Drive

The Red Cross will be hosting the ULV Fall Blood Drive Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the Supertents aerobic area from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Contact Maureen Moore in the University Health Center at ext. 4254 for more information. Sign-ups are also available at the Student Center desk.

Volunteers Needed

Students are needed to volunteer for a one-hour focus group discussion of the Campus Ministry program. You do not need to be a participant in campus ministry to volunteer. The group will meet from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Pizza and sodas will be provided. Interested students need to sign up with Judy Georges at ext. 4320 or Jane Kirchner at ext. 4322 by Friday, Nov. 11.

Interterm Meeting

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, in room 205 of Miller Hall there will be a meeting at noon, regarding the South American January Interterm trip sponsored by Dr. Htien Han.

Costa Rica Deadline

A Nov. 15 deadline for a $300 deposit has been set for the Communications Department January Interterm trip to Costa Rica. Total price of the Jan. 9-17 trip, offered for four units upper division credit, which will visit the rainforest national parks of the country, is $1,600.

Jazz Concert

The Citrus College Jazz Band will be performing a fall concert at the Haugh Performing Arts Center at Citrus College, located at 1000 W. Foothill Blvd. in Glendora. Tickets are $5 each. Poetry Contest

Arcadia Poetry Press is offering a $500 grand prize as one of the 48 cash prizes in its “Poetic Achievements Awards” contest. There are no entry fees for the contest. Entries are also considered for publication in Arcadia’s American Poetry Anthology, a hardcover book of poetry. Poems should be 20 lines or less, on any subject and in any style. The deadline for entry is Nov. 30. Winners will be notified by Feb. 28, 1995, with prizes awarded immediately. Mail entries to: Arcadia Poetry Press, Dept.
