A recent informal survey on campus found that nine out of 21 students at the University of La Verne did not know anything about the newly updated Omicron-specific COVID-19 booster that has been available since early September.
Starting Jan.1, 2023, abortion pills will be available in Cal State and UC health centers. However, the health center at the University of La Verne will not be offering the abortion pill.
All University of La Verne students and faculty who plan to return to in-person classes this semester must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination – and booster – by today or within two weeks of becoming eligible for the third booster shot.
Several buildings on the University of La Verne campus were on lockdown for less than a half-hour during the morning of Feb. 11, though the full campus community was only alerted to this by a brief email message two hours after the dangerous situation was resolved.
Students should be sure to take advantage of the “hidden” health center on campus and their required health insurance provided by the University. Included in each full-time traditional undergraduate student’s tuition, which totals $444 per semester, is a mandatory health insurance plan provided by the University.
