Convocation

Elena Cardeña, Catholic campus minister, will speak at the Spring Convocation on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. in Founders Auditorium. Her speech will be titled “No Longer Stuck in Second Gear.” The event is sponsored by the Associated Students Federation (ASF) Forum.

Career Day

Career Day will attract a wide range of company representatives on March 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call the Career Center at ext. 4054.

Business Speaker

The role of different ethnic groups in business will be discussed by speaker and part-time faculty member Manuel Escalante Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Founders Hall Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Latino Student Forum and Business Student Organization.

Scholarships

Undergraduate African American students interested in careers dealing with scientific research are eligible to apply for the UNCF-Merck Science Research Scholarships. Fifteen $35,000 scholarship packets will be awarded to students expecting to graduate in 1997. The deadline is Feb. 26. Applications are available in the Registrar’s Office.

Peace Reunion

A discussion dealing with environmental and peace issues will be held at the United Church of Christ in Claremont tomorrow at 2 p.m. All are welcome.
