Blood Drive

The American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive, Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Old Gym. For information contact the Health Center at ext. 4254.

Business Luncheon

ULV Corporate Associates Fall Business Lecture and Luncheon, will be Tuesday, Nov. 19 in the President’s Dining Room. The lecture will be, “Ethics and Values in the Workplace,” by William J. Link, chairman and CEO of Chiron Vision. Admission is $25. For information contact University Relations at ext. 4682.

Submissions

La Vernacula, the University’s Latino community magazine is looking for creative talent. It is accepting submissions from poetry, prose, short stories, articles, commentary, photography and original art. The deadline is Friday, Nov. 15. For information call Alexandria Toth at (909) 596-8446.

Clark steps back to faculty track

Humanities Al Clark is not teaching, he is either researching for his book, interviewing for an oral history project or inspiring others to donate blood. Clark first entered the University to teach in 1976 and then became a full-time administrator in 1978, holding the position of associate vice president for academic affairs until Sept. 1.
