The Leopards went on to play Cal Lutheran University on Saturday. With the Kingsmen seated No. 1 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, a 1-0 defeat was a clear improvement for ULV after the Redlands romp. The men’s team then traveled to Pomona Pitzer College where the Leopards were defeated 3-0. With a 1-5 SCIAC record, the Leopards play host to Occidental College tomorrow at 11 a.m., as the team completes the first round of conference competition. / photo by Denisse Villalba
The Leopards dominated during their Senior Day doubleheader against Redlands at Ben Hines Field on Saturday, bouncing back from a series-opening loss to the Bulldogs on May 1. Game one’s final score was 9-2, and game two's score was 6-2.
The Leopards, in a mid-season conference clash, defeated Cal Lutheran, 2-1, at Campus West on April 10. The team also had a doubleheader the next day against the Regals in Thousand Oaks, winning game one, 6-3, and falling short, 9-4, in the final game.
