Last Friday Universal Studios Hollywood celebrated the opening of Halloween Horror Nights, when Universal Studios transforms the park offering terrifying mazes, shows and rides.
On opening night Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper introduced “Alice Cooper Goes 2 Hell 3D,” a maze welcoming those who dare enter his nightmare.
“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Saw is the Law,” is another new maze, which mirrors the original horror film. In other words it is a slaughterhouse.
“The Walking Dead: Dead Inside” is an all-new multi-sensory maze based on the award- winning TV series.
This three-dimensional journey will take you to Atlanta’s devastated suburban countryside where zombies or “walkers” feast on the living.
The “Welcome to Silent Hill” based on the “Silent Hill” video game and film series is dark and twisted.
The Mexican legend of La Llorona is brought to life in “La Llorona: Cazadora de Ninos” (“Weeping Woman: The Child Hunter”).
La Llorona is the tale of a beautiful mother who attempts to be with the man she loves by drowning her children.
When the man rejects her she drowns herself and is forced to wander the Earth, searching in vain for her drowned children, with her constant weeping, giving her the name “La Llorona.”
Classic horror icons are revived in “Universal Monsters Remix.” Legendary creatures such as Frankenstein, Dracula, the Phantom of the Opera and the Wolf Man roam the park terrorizing visitors.
Universal Studios uses its world famous backlot to bring guests face-to-face with a swarm of zombies that stalk the moviemaking studio.
Hollywood Horror Nights is open until Oct. 31.
