Dear Editor,
What the writer of “#LeoMarketingScheme” (Feb. 27) fails to realize is that many departments around campus – and many offices in the general marketplace – observe ‘Casual Fridays’ (a day when attire that is more relaxed is allowed, a morale-booster). The idea of Leo Pride Fridays was most likely originally geared towards La Verne staff, since many were dressing more casually that day anyway. Why not encourage them to include La Verne-wear that day, and thus show their support of school spirit? And why not pass the idea along to the students?
No one is discouraging students from wearing Leo-wear on days other than Friday. No one is considering the termination of Spotlight Weekend and in favor of Leo Pride Fridays, as this writer seems to believe.
I hope the writer was merely fulfilling a ‘ranting editorial’ assignment. Otherwise, please – get more sleep!
