Lavernapalooza
Lavernapalooza, the annual concert event, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 8 at the Fox Theater in Pomona. This year’s headliner is rap star Big Sean. The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on May 8.
Tickets are free for undergraduate students only. For others, it is $40.

Reed Gratz Retirement Concert
Professor of Music Reed Gratz is having his final concert with the University of La Verne, including a tribute performance of his own jazz compositions. Gratz will be joined with his friends, former and current students, and faculty.
The concert will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in Morgan Auditorium, and entry is free.
‘Miss You Like Hell, A Musical’
The University of La Verne Theatre Arts and Music Departments present “Miss You Like Hell,” a musical written by Quiara Alegria Hudes and composed by Erin McKeown, the show follows a troubled teenager who embarks on a cross-country road trip with her estranged mother, who is an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. The musical performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 7:30 p.m. May 1-3, and 2:30 p.m. May 4 in Dailey Theatre.
Tickets are $10 for students, $15 for faculty/senior citizens, and $20 for the general public.

‘Into the Woods Jr.’
The University of La Verne Choral Organization is presenting “Into the Woods Jr.,” an adaptation of the popular musical created by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. May 10 in Morgan Auditorium, located in Founders Hall.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $20.

‘SoCal Critters’
The American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona is hosting a new exhibition of ceramic animals by artist Howard Pierce. The exhibit and event aim to raise awareness of local wildlife and conservation efforts.
The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the exhibit runs until June 29.
Tickets are $5 per person or $15 per group of four.
