University of La Verne alumni, faculty and staff members reunited for a celebratory dinner during a night under the stars Oct. 14 in the University Quad to kick off Homecoming weekend.
Service and connection were the themes of the Walking the Leo Walk event Saturday for students and alumni to discuss the roles of public servants and how they have chosen to enact change in their communities. The event was held over Zoom and Facebook Live.
Laughter and music echoed throughout Sneaky Park, bringing faculty, alumni, students and their families together as the College of Business and Public Management hosted their first department barbecue.
With graduation just months away, many University of La Verne students will be entering the tight job market of this state’s tough economy – where the unemployment rate is 12.4 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ report released last month.
The University of La Verne’s Homecoming weekend is Nov. 5, 6 and 7 and consists of many events for the University’s alumni as well as current students.
