The University of La Verne men's and women's track and field teams have elevated their level of performance this season capturing 16 SCIAC titles, placing second in conference for the women's teams, a co-championship for the men, and breaking a number of records along the way.

The University of La Verne track and field team dealt with the wet storm on Saturday, Feb. 24 to receive final preparation for the start of the 2001 season at the Carl Rossi Relays at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
So far, four men from the University of La Verne track and field team have qualified. Next week, they will challenge approximately 670 athletes in the Chicago area. Everyone there will be gunning for the same honor: to become a national champion.
