All good things must come to an end. That may be true for somethings but not for the University of La Verne track team, who has had continued success throughout their season and brought home more than enough wins.

Claremont College was the site of a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Dual Meet as the University of La Verne made their presence known against conference rivals Claremont, Occidental and Redlands.

Returning as a contender for the NCAA Division III title, the University of La Verne track and field team returned to competition as it faced the first challenge of the season at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational Saturday.

Just being able to qualify for Nationals is an achievement in itself, but for the University of La Verne Leopards track 4x100 relay team, just qualifying was not enough.

The University of La Verne track team has done it again. Leaving Occidental open-mouthed, the Leo­pards’ performance at the May 10 invitational resulted in record-breaking times.

The cheetah; it earned the title of the fastest animal on the planet. The University of La Verne’s 4x100m relay team; it earned the title of the fastest Division III 4x100m relay team in the nation. These guys are Leopards not cheetahs, but on the track, nobody does it faster.
