Last spring, the University of La Verne baseball team completed its season with a 29-11 record overall and 15-6 in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), finishing third in the league. Although it received no post-season invitation, seven players did receive individual recognition.
In its final bid for the playoffs, the University of La Verne’s baseball team took third place in the Leo Invitational last weekend, defeating the University of Redlands 11-7 on Sunday afternoon and Chapman University on Saturday night, 4-2.

The Stags sat comfortably in the driver’s seat going into Saturday’s doubleheader after picking up an 8-6 win over the Leopards on Friday.
