Returning as a contender for the NCAA Division III title, the University of La Verne track and field team returned to competition as it faced the first challenge of the season at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational Saturday.
Results are in and the University of La Verne football team took control of the SCIAC voting for all-conference, including the all-around offensive and defensive players.
Filling two charter buses, driving for 12 hours one way, spending two days eating, sleeping, and eventually playing was exactly what the University of La Verne football team needed to come together and beat Sonoma State University last Saturday in a 33-23 victory.
