University shuffles space, departments to relocate

Responsible for the relocation of academic departments and other facilities, the Space Committee is currently working to determine the new location of the Education Department, uses for the vacant space in the Student Center and expansion of the Behavioral Science Department in the Mainiero Building.

Summer brings bevy of campus improvements

June, July and August brought continued renovation and improvement to the campus and curriculum, including progress on the Wilson Library and Landis Academic Center, new general education requirements and a new location for Central Services.

Furnished with cracked cement floors, weathered beams and empty walls, the Baum Building basement will be brought to life with creativity for the senior thesis art exhibit, "Elements of a Passing Vision," beginning tonight with a reception from 5-10 p.m.

Debate over wall alters mural project

Seniors Yasuyuki Nagasawa and Lisa Scott had planned on painting the 10- by 40-foot multicultural mural shown above on the new greenhouse wall as part of an independent study project. The wall, located across from Dailey Theatre, had been rebuilt this semester after drainage problems were found. A mural of a skyscape that was used as a meditative location for theater actors was torn down with it.
