University of La Verne students and recent graduates earned several honors from the Hometown Media Awards in August, and the San Bernardino Valley College Film Festival in May.
To showcase the skill and creativity of University students, the Cultural Arts Society of La Verne collaborated with professors to put together the 2013 ULV Student Film Festival last Thursday.
The third annual 909 Film Festival screened an array of Inland Empire-inspired films, ranging from the adorable to the downright bizarre. It ended with two University of La Verne student-produced films that earned awards Sunday night at Pitzer College in Claremont.
Two groups of La Verne broadcasting students were honored with first and third-place wins by the Broadcast Education Association last month in Las Vegas.
