Alma Prica, who is esteemed for her acting skills and is considered one of the leading actresses of the Croatian National Theater, has traveled in every sense of the word.

After three long years of careful planning, several months of casting and intense rehearsals, audience members were able to witness James Darrah’s visions take shape on stage during the production of his senior thesis, “The Trojan Women.” The production was presented to an overwhelming turnout in the University of La Verne’s Cabaret Theatre last weekend.

Variety proved to be the overall theme at the 2005 University of La Verne Directing Studio One Act Festival. Student and faculty directors, designers and actors participated in the plays, which ranged from physical comedy to intense drama, as well as everything in between.

International theater director Georgij Paro shined a new light on the University of La Verne’s theatre department with a dramatic play called “Life’s a Dream,” written by the Spanish playwright Pedro Calderon de la Barca performed this week.

The great William Shakespeare’s words in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” were given new life last weekend when the ULV Theatre Department presented the play to a crowd who was eager to experience the cast’s creativity.

Three student actors from the University of La Verne were selected based on their performances in “Waiting for Godot” to audition for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship.
