This year’s athletic Hall of Fame banquet for the University of La Verne will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Sheraton Suites Fairplex Hotel in Pomona.

As Darren MacLellan goes, so does the University of La Verne football team. He may not be the strongest, biggest or fastest player on the field but the senior running back is a winner.

In Rocky Balboa’s first fight, all he wanted to do was prove that he could go the distance with the champ. Last year the University of La Verne football team won the SCIAC title outright for the first time in school history, proving they too could go the distance.
