Among the several activities the Housing and Residential Life hosted as a part of diversity programming and Pride Week, “Faith – Somewhere Over the Rainbow?” created an open forum for interested parties wanting to know how faith plays into the lives of the homosexual community.
Amid the several other memorials on campus that honor those who’ve fallen in past wars, the University of La Verne honored two former students, First Lt. Jared Landaker and Cpl. Bernard Corpuz who served in Afghanistan and Iraq respectively, with a tree dedication ceremony on Tuesday.
The University of La Verne’s tradition of exposing students to various cultures and religions continued Wednesday evening with the Campus Ministry-sponsored Model Passover Seder.
Naomi Tutu, keynote speaker for the University’s third annual “Engendering Diversity and Community” conference, addressed “Women's Stories, Women's Voices” March 22 before a packed house in La Fetra Auditorium.
