An amateur radio club is waiting to happen at the University of La Verne, and interested faculty and students are asked to come forward by Dr. Jay Jones, associate professor of biology and biochemistry, to get the club started.

Earthquake safety has always been a No. 1 concern for Southern Californians, especially since the Northridge quake of 1994. It is this school’s responsibility to maintain an awareness of emergency evacuation procedures in case of fires or earthquakes.
