Many people struggle to understand the true meaning of accepting the differences of ethnic backgrounds, and how others might perceive situations in contrast to their own situation. These issues opened up discussion at the multicultural club event, “Walking in Others’ Shoes,” on socioeconomics Monday.
Turn out was lower than hoped, and the event titled “Sexuality and Gender” part of last week’s Diversity Week, was changed.
In an animated dialogue on the topic of race and diversity, Lili Gradilla, program coordinator, and Daniel Loera, director of the office of multicultural affairs, shared some thoughts with sophomore Dexter Buchanan.
