The University of La Verne Leopards trampled over the Azusa Pacific Cougars Saturday, 51-17, leaving the visiting team in the shadow of La Verne’s 6-0 overall record.
By the end of the first quarter of play, the University of La Verne Leopard football team found itself in a spot. Chapman University built a 21-0 lead only to let it slip away in the fourth quarter to see ULV win, 35-34.
As Darren MacLellan goes, so does the University of La Verne football team. He may not be the strongest, biggest or fastest player on the field but the senior running back is a winner.
No one ever said it would be easy to win SCIAC outright, but with La Verne football, one of only two teams in conference still undefeated, it’s looking like ULV might do it.
With the 1994 football season approaching, the University of La Verne football team has reloaded and is ready to make another run for the conference championship.
