With no post season to look forward to, the University of La Verne men’s volleyball team took on California Baptist University with nothing to lose, except the game itself.
The University of La Verne men’s volleyball team swept Hope International University, 3-0 (30-23, 30-17, 30-28), to wrap up its season home schedule Tuesday night in the Supertents.
With the score tied at 28 in game three, Elliot Naito put away a kill that sent the University of La Verne men’s volleyball team to game point. Cardinal Stritch University pushed ULV to a 30-30 tie before the Leopards could put away two straight points to wrap up the game and take the match, 3-0 (30-28, 30-24, 32-30).
In a 3-0 sweep (30-27, 30-20, 30-28) of Lees-McRae College from North Carolina Monday night in the Supertents, the University of La Verne men’s volleyball team gained the confidence and momentum that it was looking for heading into its last five regular season games.
