Who would have thought that joining a health club could give you such a headache, not to mention a hole in your pocket, even when you stop using the facility.
If you were to take a look at my dad, you would probably jump to a few conclusions. The pony-tail hanging down to his lower back may lead you to assume that this old man was once the product of some free love, free drug hippie cult. The tattoos on his right hand may lead you to think he has been in and out of a few biker gangs. The dorky smile on his face and obnoxious laugh will make you think he is one of the nicest people you have ever had the opportunity to meet.
Two bright spots, looking almost like headlights on a car. One at the top, the other at the bottom. Shortly thereafter I see a bright orange line forming on what I realize to be the side of a mountain just east of La Verne.
As with most siblings, my sister, Kathy, and I didn't always get along when we were younger. She and I were constantly bickering and being mean to each other. And as the younger one, I got picked on the most.
I spent this past weekend at home for the first time in two months. It was nice to be home and catch up with my family. The added plus was I got to spend time with my six-month old niece.
