The media needs to start recognizing more missing cases involving women of color. When a young white woman goes missing, the media goes into a frenzy. But it takes people on social media to bring attention to other cases that have been neglected or forgotten.

It would be outrageous if a federal law enforcement agency asked a lock maker to create a master key that would open the locks to millions of homes, and give that key to the agency.

FBI disses Fourth Estate

Christopher Soghoian, a technologist at the American Civil Liberties Union, announced that the Federal Bureau of Investigation created a fake newspaper article linked with surveillance software in order to track a school bomb-threat suspect back in 2007, and the revelation has undermined the media’s credibility.
