The Office of International Services and Engagement and the Center for Multicultural Services collaborated to create a small event to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 7 in the Johnson Family Plaza.
The month of March is Womyn’s History Month; the term womyn is used in feminist literature as an alternative spelling to avoid the suggestion of sexism perceived in the sequence m-e-n.
The month of March is Women’s History Month — however many people would not know that due to the lack of exposure and acknowledgement of it throughout the country.
